COMMUNITY & OUTREACH

Community Service

Adopt-A-Highway
Chao and Associates has had the privilege of participating in Adopt-A-Highway for over twenty years,a volunteer program for caring citizens sponsored by the SC Department of Transportation. We love to show our Palmetto Pride by “Keeping the Midlands Beautiful”.

Carolina Sunshine for Children
Carolina Sunshine For Children provides a ray of sunshine for South Carolina children with life-threatening illnesses by granting wishes.
Founded in 1983, Carolina Sunshine For Children is a non-profit group operating solely for the benefit of the children and families of South Carolina, where 100% of every wish donation goes to fulfilling a child’s wish. All of the administrative and operating costs affiliated with a wish are paid for by the Board of Directors. CEO Jimmy Chao has been personally been involved for over 20 years, serving on the Board of Directors until recently, while Chao and Associates has continuously been sponsor and supporter.

Filling the School Bus
During the 2014-15 school year, Richland School District Two identified 480 students who were considered homeless under the guidelines set by the McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act. Many families in our community are struggling and in need of assistance. Chao & Associates wanted to support local students by helping to get needed school supplies for classrooms. We are proud to be part of team to help improve learning environments in our community.
